The history behind Alannia Resorts is one of courage, effort and passion. It began 25 years ago and retains the same enthusiasm with which the project began.
In 1979, two brave entrepreneurs, Pepe Fur and Paco Gómez, took the plunge and created a company dedicated to the construction of houses in Guardamar del Segura, a small coastal town in Alicante.
Thus was born one of the most exciting projects in the area, a union that transcends the purely economic and today is understood as a big family. If there was one thing Pepe and Paco shared, it was a non-conformist spirit, which led them to always think about the next step.
It was in this spirit that we built the company’s first campsite, Marjal Guardamar, 25 years ago.
Even though it was their first foray into the tourism sector, their ingenuity and courage led them to devise a model that went beyond the traditional concept of luxury camping that prevailed at the time.
We were not experts, but we were clear about the key to our success: to be a benchmark in customer service for our guests.
The years went by and we started to grow up. More and more people wanted to live the Marjal experience.
Eventually we achieved this image: the Marjal Guardamar campsite was full to the brim.
11 years later, the dream continued to grow. In 2011 we opened the doors of Marjal Costa Blanca, the “big brother” of Marjal Guardamar.
18 km from the coast and with an area of almost 400,000 m2, Marjal Costa Blanca is today a European benchmark in the camping sector.
Over the years, the appearance of our establishments has changed, but basically we have always been the same.

Our non-conformist spirit was more alive than ever and led us to share a new dream: to make history in our sector by creating the leading resort campsite chain in Spain.
In 2018 we took the first step towards achieving this goal with the incorporation of the Els Prats campsite into the family. We thus left our home, Alicante, and arrived in Tarragona with the accumulated experience of our first two establishments and the humility and willingness to learn that had allowed us to grow.
We launched ourselves into new challenges and new territories with a new brand: Alannia Resorts. This marked the beginning of a new era for the company, without forgetting the essence that has brought us this far: making people happy by creating memorable experiences.
Under this new name, we welcomed Alannia Costa Dorada.
This year we have a double celebration! Not only are we celebrating our 25th anniversary, we are also inaugurating Alannia Salou 👉 The most revolutionary resort of the chain with its innovative horizontal design and its unique sustainable resort features.
